Jennefer Dilk
Dental Hygienist
Jennefer graduated from the dental hygiene program at Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2007. She met Dr. Austgen in 2014 and was able to reunite with her at Austgen Family Dental in 2019. Jennefer's favorite part about working at Austgen family dental are the relationships she has with patients and the team. She feels blessed to be able to work at such a wonderful practice with wonderful people veryday. She really enjoys and has a passion for her career. In her free time, she spends it with her family. She has 4 beautiful children. They are always on the go with activities and sports. They love visiting her parent's lakehouse whenever they can and swimming at their pool. The Dilks love camping and visiting different parks around Indiana.
Claire Wiltsee
Dental Hygienist
Claire graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s dental hygiene program in 2016. She started her hygiene career working at the office with the late Dr. Tim Weeks after graduation. She began working with Dr. Austgen in 2018 and is proud to call Austgen Family Dental her work home. Her favorite part about her career is getting to know her patients and educating them about their oral health. When not taking care of patients, she is most likely baking chocolate chip cookies and spending time with her husband Jimmy and their son Emmett.
Samantha Hensley
Hygiene Coordinator
Samantha began her dental career as a Hygiene Coordinator in April 2016 for Weeks Dentistry and has happily continued on with the Practice through it’s transition into Austgen Family Dental in February of 2018. She attended High School at Indian Creek of Trafalgar, Indiana and completed multiple courses of Business entailing goals and prosperity, growth of small businesses at IUPUC and continuing education online via Kaplan University. Samantha’s most enjoyable times at AFD are working with a strong and confident group of team members who strive for patient wellness and community growth. Preserving our environment, supporting local Humane Societies , and traveling and playing her Viola are amongst her most favorable past times.
Shelby Helton
Treatment and Financial Coordinator
Shelby joined our team in July of 2020. She has worked in the dental field since 2007. She enjoys the fun, positive and team-oriented environment that Dr. Austgen provides at Austgen Family Dental. She loves being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family. Shelby and her husband Andrew have one son, Cooper.
Valerie Kaufman
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Valerie is an expanded functions dental assistant. She joined Austgen Family Dental in December of 2019. Valerie has been in the dental field for over 15 years after graduating from Dental Careers Foundation in 2005. Since then, Valerie earned her x-ray license and certificates in coronal polishing and fluoride from IU. Valerie's favorite part of working at Austgen Family Dental is working in a positive atmosphere with great women and admires that Dr. Austgen loves to learn and grow in Dentistry with new technologies and products. In Valerie's down time, she loves spending time with family, her husband Sam and two daughters: Jayda and Lucy. Valerie also loves to read books, go hiking, eat good food and coffee and visit with friends and family as often as possible.
